Me and Others

For ages 11 – 16 years old.

This programme aims to provide young people with an opportunity to explore and learn about what relationships are all about. It highlights what healthy and unhealthy relationships look like, our personal boundaries within these relationships and where to go if we need help regarding this.

The programme aims to equip young people with the tools and confidence to make safe choices within relationships and empower them to practice these alongside utilising their support network if they have any concerns.

We are only able to accept referrals from schools who have 5 or more children needing to do the same programmes.

The group runs for  hour 45 mins per week for  10  weeks

Expect Respect

Would you be surprised to know that young people experience the highest rates of domestic abuse of any age group.

A survey of 13 to 17 year olds found that a quarter (25%) of girls and 18% of boys reported having experienced some form of physical violence from an intimate partner.

Very often children/young adults who need support will fall through the net. If their behaviour is disruptive, it is likely they will be referred to a specialist service. However in school, children can and do show other behaviours.

Escape the Trap is focused on looking at healthy relationships between peers and others.

Children bought up with abuse tend to be very spatially aware and their body language will be finely honed. This is their risk assessment tool based on coping stragegies they have developed.
